The new cruisehip from MSC Cruises,  MSC Seaside was just christened in Miami in a ceremony presented by the godmother of all the boats from the italian cruise line, the actress Sophia Loren.

“The cruiseship that follows the sunshine”, as we know the  MSC Seaside, is the most innovative cruiseship of MSC Cruises and just joined the fleet of the cruiseline being the second that goes into service in the last half year.

The MSC Seaside is the first of the new prototypes of the cruiseline. Specifically, the ones belonging through the class Seaside are designed bring along the seaside and to enjoy warmer weather. Collaboration of  MSC Cruiseships with the Foundation Andrea Bocelli in Haití

The cruise line anounced in the christening ceremony of the MSC Seaside the collaboration with the Establishment Andrea Bocelli (ABF), where the donations of MSC Cruises will support the valuable trip from ABF in Haití, one of the poorest countries in the world.

All the quantity donated on board will be directly destined to the Foundation with the objective of building schools that afterwards get converted in commnity centers and to launch new projects such as the Mobile Clinic, to give assitance and heath prevention, drinking water, lighting and agricultural development.

With these news, the tenor Andrea Bocelli has gone up to the stage with 30 children from Voices of Haiti, a talented haitian students choir ebetween 6 and 14 years old that introduced the music to the schools of the ABF and the Foundation of St.Luke for Haití.

The project has as objective reaching more than 2.550 children from 5 different communities in Haití.

Agreement with Joe Bastianich, a well known american chef

MSC Cruises has announced as well today an agreement with Joe Bastianich, a renowned chef and american TV personality that has 30 restaurants in the whole world, including ‘Babbo’, in New York, and ‘Del Posto y Carnevino’ in Las Vegas. With this partneship, Bastianich is the last incorporation in the impressive list of renowned worldwide chefs that get assoiatiedconvierte en la última incorporación a la impresionante lista de chefs de renombre internacional que se asocian con MSC Cruceros en toda su flota mundial y creará un plato exclusivo para MSC Seaside que se incluirá en el menú Elegant Night.

Actuación de Ricky Martin

Durante la ceremonia protagonizada por el MSC Seaside, tuvo lugar la actuación de Ricky Martin, el cantante ganador de numerosos GRAMMY y LATIN GRAMMY. El evento contó también con la presencia de la leyenda del fútbol de Miami, Dan Marino, quién estuvo con los Miami Dolphins durante 17 años, fue también una de las estrellas de la noche.

La velada terminó con el tradicional momento del corte de la cinta y la botella de champán rompiéndose sobre la proa del barco, y que bautiza de manera oficial a MSC Seaside. Con un fuerte patrimonio marítimo de más de 300 años, para MSC Cruceros es importante seguir manteniendo estas tradiciones marineras y traer buena suerte a su nueva nave.

MSC Seaside navegará durante todo el año desde Miami hasta el Caribe y ofrecerá itinerarios de 7 noches por el este y el oeste del Caribe a partir del 23 de diciembre.
