Tarragona stands out because of the great variety of landscapes, adding up to the inlets, beaches, cliffs and great variety of landscapes, that filled its coast. At the same time the  main public festivals involve music and colour in Tarragona, as it is the case of the Santa Tecla festival that get celebrated between the 15th and 24th September. However, it is not always possible to visit in those special dates. So, if you wish to know the essence of Tarragona during its cruise stop  theses are the places that you can visit:

• Tarragona, roman city.  The city has a great museum from the open air roman time, Heritage of the Humanity from the 2000. From this material heritage other two intangibles, as well as recognised by the UNESCO: the Castells (human towers) and the Mediterranean Diet.

• Poblet´s abbey:  En el interior de la Costa Daurada se encuentra la Ruta del Cister. La ruta une dos monasterios de la orden cisterciense y el monasterio de Poblet (Patrimonio de la Humanidad desde 1991). Otra visita muy preciada es Montblanc, declarado Conjunto Monumental y Artístico en el 1947, y que conserva gran parte del recinto medieval amullarado.

• PortAventura and Ferrari´s Land.  PortAventura includes more than 40 rides and up to 40 shows, several shows of the  Cirque du Soleil, a water park,  themed Ferrari Land park and 5 themed. That is why it has become one of the biggest holiday destination and the family leisure in Europe. Located by the Mediterrean shores and just one hour from Barcelona, the highest rides in PortAventura count with spectacular sights.

• Reus. It is a tipical catalonian city in which the heritage of its modernist style. Reus is on top of that the hometown from the architect Antoni Gaudí. Nowadays you can walk along the Gaudí Route as well as Gaudí Centre Reus dedicated to life and work of the architect. And for the shopping lovers Reus is a great place to spend an afternoon shopping.
• Wine Tourism. The caves of the region have 6 appellation of origin: AO Monsant, AO Priorat, AO Cava, AO Conca Barberá, AO Tarragona, AO Penedés and AO Terra Alta.
