Description

The Piraeus is the main maritime port of Greece and has been from the antiquity the port of its capital, Athens. Three natural bays form the port: Kantharos, Zea and Mikrolimano.

From the Cruise Port of Athens (The Piraeus) services of ferryboat are enabled to almost all the islands of the Aegean Sea. The first thing to do before visiting Athens is to stop in the Piraeus to visit the commercial and tourist districts located in the surroundings of the port.

Then the tour will continue with the Zeus’s temple, the Ágora and the Acropolis. The Parthenon, the Archeological Museum and the Museum of the Acropolis, are some of the few places that you must visit in the capital of Greece.

Visiting the neighborhoods of Plaka and Anafiotika are a singular way of knowing the real life of the city.

And certainly, Athens is a place to enjoy the gastronomy. Its plates based on seafood and fish, its traditional moussaka, the dolmades, the feta cheese  and its local drinks like the retsina or the ouzo.
