1.-Carril´s clams: are one of the main products of the area. They have international recognition due to its great flavour and main products and fleshiness. In the restaurants and bars of the area are prepared in several ways, with Marinara sauce or simply steamed to taste their sea flavour. There is an exaltation gastronomic event of this mollusc in which you can taste the multiple traditional preparations accompanied  with the best wine with appellation of origin from Rías Baixas.

2.-Pulpo á feira: it is not exclusive to this area but as well but it is a typicalplatein Galicia. It is delicious boiled octopus cut in slices and with olive oil dressing and sea salt. Normally, it is served in a wooden plate and a traditional way of tasting it is amongst friends with corn bread and a glass  of wine or with boiled potatoes and sticking the slices with a wooden toothpick. ‘Donde fueres, haz lo que vieres’. (“wherever you go do as you see”).

3.-Pimientos de Padrón (Padrón green peppers): there are some of the products with Protected Geographical Indication. They are cooked fried in plenty of oil and with salt on top. Be careful because you have to be lucky to have the one that is not spicy and leave your tonge and palate fiery. “Os pementos de Padrón uns pican e outros non” -Padrón peppers some are spicy some are not- so choose rightly.

4.-Bordelaise lamprey: this is one of the most peculiar plates that can be tasted in the South of Galicia. It is a prehistoric fish that is cooked in its own blood. A mouthful only for the brave ones that make the delicacy of the most demanding foodies.

5.-Steamed mussels: it is one of the most simple ways of preparing and exceptional product like the Mexilón de Galicia (Galician mussel). Currently, the rías count with more than 3,300 farming mussels. This marine installations are produced and annual media of 90 tonnes of mollusc, employing more than 13,000 people making Galicia the main aquaculture in Europe. Do not board again on a boat without trying the oranges fruits with some lemon drops.

6.-Empanada (flat pie): amongst the most famous galician empanada de Bandeira, a population in Pontevedra that counts with an event about this plate which is cooked in every single house in Galicia. Each grandmother has its own recipe. Filled with xoubas (baby sardines), choco, octopus, tuna, cod with raisins…choose the one that you like the most and enjoy it with time, tasting the tradition.

7.-Filloas(crêpes), tarta de Santiago (Santiago´s almond cake), melindres(ring shaped pastry with lemon), bica…the most typical desserts of the galician community are the cherry on the top for an afternoon walk for shopping in the old city of Vilagarcía de Arousa, Cambados, O Grove… A sweet afternoon snack lookingat the sea is the best plan to go on board of a boat and to enjoy activities on board, swimming pool, spa, casino, discos…etc.
